The Connect & Play Method.
The biggest problem we have as human beings is disconnection. From our body. From our joy. From our creativity. From each other. The Connect & Play Method solves that problem.
Capoeira is the tool. Play is the motivation. Connection is what happens.
Connect with Self
You vs You
The only thing that matters is that you improve and explore your own potential. Comparison and competition are the root of so much drama, so we leave them at the door. I say it out loud: don't take me as your example. I might just be more flexible than you, and that's not the goal. The goal is to grow the way you want.
Manage your energy
We listen to what you and the group actually need. Sometimes that's more movement, and the music comes later. Sometimes it's more music and singing first, and then you move. And sometimes you need other people's energy to lift yours, or a place to let some of yours go.

Connect with Others
Loneliness no more. Make & keep friends
We come together and we connect for real. Capoeira is vulnerable by nature. You sing, you move together, you play together, you fall, you get up, you laugh, and you support each other. In our group we respect each other the way we are. We are kind. We help each other.
Connect with All
Connect with the now
One of the biggest gifts capoeira brings: it gets you out of your head and into the now. Into the game, into the music. We practise it, and step by step it feels natural. Then you bring it into the rest of your life, and there things flow too. You get more creative, you get more done, and you enjoy it more.
& Play
Play is leading. Play is our motivation.
It's one of seven primary emotional systems in the brain, as fundamental as fear, care and seeking. Not a luxury. A biological need.
- Boosts confidence & creativity
- A universal, positive language
- Diminishes fear of failure & perfectionism
- Sets healthy physical & mental boundaries
- Less burnout, stress & depression. More life energy.
Play is leading.
Play is leading because it relaxes you. Your body and your mind. It lets you try things out, be curious, and connect with the other. Making friends gets a lot easier.
And you can fall. You can fail. You know what? Just smile and stand up again. That's what matters: you keep going with a positive attitude.
We all fall. We are all insecure. We are all ashamed of certain things. That's normal. And when we play with each other, with all of that, it's all good. It doesn't matter. Because we play.
You don't have to be good at this. Not at capoeira, not at singing, not at the moves. Just be open to learn something new.

Neuroscientist Jaak Panksepp identified PLAY as one of seven primary emotional systems biologically hard-wired into the mammalian brain, as fundamental as fear, care, or seeking. It's not a luxury. It's a biological need.
Dr. Stuart Brown and the National Institute for Play have spent decades showing what happens when we deprive ourselves of it: burnout, disconnection, loss of creativity and joy.
Capoeira, at its core, is a play system. That's not a metaphor. That's neuroscience.
